This is a rustic, family winery made of stone and located next to the 'Virgen del Valle' Hermitage on the slopes of the Sierra de Cantabria in the town of Samaniego.

It is characterized by its stone, underground cave from the 17th century drilled into living rock 20m deep and which gave rise to the winery. It has been expanded various times until the most recent expansion that was carried out in 2000 where 3 buildings were built, 1000 square meters each. The grapes, 95% tempranillo and 5% graciano and mazuelo, combined with the geological and climatic conditions of the area, are determining factors in the quality of the wines. The perfect complement to the wines would be roast lamb, lamb chops, or succulent potatoes a la riojana that you can enjoy at the winery by making a reservation.
